As a jazz pianist, composer and arranger, Gil Evans' career has been one of constant change and improvement. Evans worked with, and was influenced by, a wide variety of musicians, including Miles Davis, Charlie Parker, Gerry Mulligan, Jimi Hendrix and Sting.
