Los sistemas de sensorización basados en energy harvesting resultan muy atractivos tanto para usuarios como desarrolladores dada su autonomía energética y una conectividad con nodos que disponen de acceso a internet. En este artículo se analizan algunas de las consideraciones más relevantes para el diseño de sistemas electrónicos energéticamente autosuficientes, basándose en una fuente de captación de energía ambiental. Entre los aspectos analizados están el ultra bajo consumo de energía de los componentes utilizados, el diseño del software así como de la tarjeta de circuito impreso entre otras y se presenta un ejemplo práctico de aplicación.
