Children who enter the child welfare system are at a greater risk for traumatic experiences, and it is essential for child welfare social workers interacting with this population to be effective in using trauma-informed care practices to mitigate retraumatization. The purpose of this study was to explore the impacts of training and workforce development opportunities on San Bernardino County child welfare social workers’ attitudes towards trauma-informed care.
