This paper aims to investigate the students' attitude toward Monolingual approach in English classes. In the field of ELT, monolingual has been prescribed as official approach to be applied in English classes. However, the literature has shown that Monolingual approach has been debated by scholars for years. Few studies have been reported that specifically examine learners' attitude toward the implementation of monolingual approach had various impacts on students. The study on attitude has been done to 103 Indonesian high school students' attitude at a private high school in Salatiga where this exclusive use of English is applied.
