This study is focused on the application of mechanochemical synthesis methods in solid state chemistry, especially the mechanochemical synthesis of crystal compounds with mixed anions. The mechanochemical synthesis of quaternary oxide fluorides has been investigated, but no new compound could be synthesized. A new quaternary sulfide chloride, FeBiS2Cl, could be synthesized mechanochemically. It crystallizes in the orthorhombic space group Cmcm. Additionally, a new copper-containing sulfide chloride, CuBi2S3Cl, and its corresponding sulfide bromide, CuBi2S3Br, were synthesized mechanochemically. Both crystallize isotypically in the space group C2/m. Furthermore, a silver- and indium-containing sulfide chloride, AgInSCl2, was synthesized me...
