This is an action research aiming to improve the English vocabulary teaching in the EFL classroom of the second year kindergarten. The participants of this study were 33 kindergarten students (16 boys and 17 girls) of a private kindergarten in Salatiga, Central Java. The data of this study were collected through teaching journals and vocabulary test results. The results of this study are summarized in three findings. First, songs can be used as media to help teachers teach vocabulary. Through singing, students frequently repeat the words that make them memorize the words longer.
