This thorough annual report prepared by the friars in Santa Clara for the Franciscan authorities in California and Mexico City provides a brief account of the initial years of the Mission, the total number of sacraments administered to Spaniards and Indians since the Mission’s foundation, a detailed inventory of the Mission, the type and number of cattle raised in the Mission, as well as the variety and volume of crops sown and harvested in 1782.
