Our research deals with immigrant women originating from three North African countries: Algeria, Morocco and Tunisia. Despite the similarity of their cultural background, these countries have evolved differently in relation with political environments such as: the French colonization, the independence and its aftermath. These circumstances have had a different impact particularly on women's conditions. Three different women's profiles appear to exist in the Maghreb.
