Burnout syndrome is defined as a response to a chronic emotional stress, whose main features are physical and psychological exhaustion, a cold and depersonalized attitude in the relationship with others and a feeling of inadequacy in the tasks to be performed. Currently it is understood as a social and public health problem, which damages the quality of life of the person who suffers it and decreases the quality of care.
