To what extent can the ancient Greek experience be used to understand the system of peaceful settlement of disputes in current international law? This work tries to recover the normative experience of the Pylaeo‐Delphic Amphictyony in classical times (5th-4th Centuries BCE) to illustrate the foundations, the utility and the benefits of resorting to institutionalized jurisdictional means of dispute resolution.
