This article highlights the general import of ltalian culture in Chile shown principally through architecture, literature and music. The emphasis falls on the introchction of the study of the Italian language in our schools, but considerations are also made on the educational and cultural projections of the Italian spirit realized by a number of distinguished intellectuals and artists who have lent their services to the Chilean national development
