Análisis de la Educación Ciudadana en las Bases Curriculares de 3° y 4° Medio

This article aims to analyze the Citizen Education subject recently incorporated into the Curricular Bases of the third and fourth year of high school. To achieve this purpose, we proceed, first, to specify the characteristics that the subject assumes; highlighting the objectives it tries to achieve, the values principles and the approaches that guide it. The analysis itself has been organized around: a) Matrix that relates citizen thematic categories and the Learning Objectives that the subject proposes b) Respond to which of Citizenship Paradigm (liberal or communitarian) is ascribed the Citizen Education subject c) Identify in which curricular conception the Curricular Bases are situated and consequently the Citizen Education subject d) Examine the ethical-political stance of Citizen Education at the Curriculum BasesEste artículo se propone analizar la asignatura de Educación Ciudadana incorporada recientemente a las Bases Curriculares del tercero y cuarto de enseñanza media. Para alcanzar este propósito se procede, en primer lugar, a precisar las características que asume la asignatura; destacando los objetivos que intenta alcanzar, los principios valóricos y los enfoques que la orientan. El análisis propiamente tal se ha organizado en torno a: a) Matriz que relaciona categorías temáticas ciudadana y los Objetivos de Aprendizaje que la asignatura se propone b) Responder a que Paradigma de Ciudadanía la asignatura Educación Ciudadana c) Identificar en qué concepción curricular se ubican las Bases Curriculares y por lo tanto la asignatura d) Examinar la postura ética-política que tiene la Educación Ciudadana en la Base
