Experiencias Educativas desde el Normalismo Rural. Chiloé 1970-1973

Present work studies the discourses and educational practices of 20 male and female graduates of the Escuela Normal Rural in Ancud, in the range time between 1970-1973. It is proposed as a working hypothesis that the normal schoolteachers, originally from the rural and island world, reformulated and adapted informal knowledge that was given from their social and cultural extraction, which often led to a territorialization of education. For the development of this study, the qualitative approach was used as a methodological option, using a single case study method and the semi-structured individual interview as the information collection technique. For their part, the testimonies were analyzed using the content analysis method. The main results show that Chilean rural normalism –especially the one developed in Ancud– was characterized by having a strong social component, promoting the political and economic development of rural communities. The educational practice of the normalistas had the purpose of defending and promoting the teaching State, associated with the close connection with the social, cultural and economic reality of the area.El presente artículo estudia los discursos y prácticas educativas de 20 maestros y maestras egresados de la Escuela Normal Rural de Ancud entre los años 1970 y 1973. Se propone como hipótesis de trabajo que el profesorado normalista, originario del mundo rural e isleño, reformuló y retomó saberes que les eran propios dado su extracción social y cultural, lo cual muchas veces dio lugar a una territorialización de lo educativo. Para el desarrollo de este estudio se utilizó el enfoque cualitativo como opción metodológica, el estudio de casos únicos como método y la entrevista individual semiestructurada como técnica de recogida de información. Por su parte, los testimonios fueron analizados a partir del método de análisis de contenido. Los principales resultados muestran que el normalismo rural chileno –en especial el desarrollado en Ancud– se caracterizó por poseer un fuerte componente social, de promoción del desarrollo político y económico de las comunidades rurales. La práctica educativa de las y los normalistas tuvo por propósito la defensa y promoción del Estado Docente, la cual se asociaba a la estrecha vinculación de estos sujetos con la realidad social, cultural y económica de la zona
