Breve presentación de la Jurisdicción Contencioso-Administrativa uruguaya

In this brief presentation on the occasion of my participation in the XXXII Chilean Conference on Public Law, which honors me so much, I will understand by "administrative dispute" the set of disputes subject to resolution by a jurisdictional body, governed by public law, in which it is part of a state entity. I will still restrict the subject to disputes in which the state entity is sued, in which the action mobilizes the jurisdictional guarantee of the inhabitants of the Republic against the actions of the State. The actions that state entities can promote against other subjects are settled before the Judiciary and do not present any other singularity that deserves mention, beyond the substantial power of these entities to unilaterally create the title, even executive, that supports them.En esta sucinta presentación con motivo de mi participación en las XXXII Jornadas Chilenas de Derecho Público, que tanto me honra, entenderé por "contencioso administrativo" el conjunto de contiendas sometidas a resolución de un órgano jurisdiccional, regidas por Derecho público, en las cuales es parte una entidad estatal. Restringiré todavía el tema a las contiendas en que la entidad estatal es demandada, en las cuales la acción moviliza la garantía jurisdiccional de los habitantes de la República frente al accionar del Estado.
