Various types of crosstalk mechanism and their sources for wavelength switch and multi-wavelength selective filters (MWSF) based limited wavelength interchanging optical cross connect (OXC) is identified. Analytical formulas have been carried out to include the effect of that crosstalk. By using the formulas, a comparative picture of the system performance has been depicted for the two types of architectures of limited wavelength interchanging OXC which will help to optimize the system performance. In this paper, system performance has been studied using MATLAB environment
