Infectious and autoimmune diseases contribute considerably to the global disase burden. Diagnosis of these diseases often involves detection of patient antibodies or antigens. New detection technologies may provide added value and reduced costs by offering faster turnaround times, higher throughput, better diagnostic performance, reduced material and labour costs and suitability for point-of-need testing.
