PROSES PELAKSANAAN PROGRAM ASIMILASI BAGI KLIEN PEMASYARAKATAN DI BALAI PEMASYARAKATAN KELAS 1 MALANG

Assimilation is a manifestation of the fulfillment of special rights to prisoners who have undergone certain conditions so that they can be proposed to obtain the assimilation program. This assimilation will be given to prisoners if the prisoner has served 2/3 of the criminal period in prison, is not a recidivist and has fulfilled various requirements, both general and specific and is deemed worthy and then entitled to these rights. In undergoing this assimilation, prisoners or later referred to as correctional clients are under the full guidance and supervision of the Class I Correctional Center (Bapas) Malang. This research was conducted using qualitative methods and supported by descriptive data in the form of written or spoken words from people and observed events. The research location was chosen according to the theme, namely the Class I Correctional Center of Malang. then in collecting data the researchers used various techniques which included observation, interviews and documentation of the subject under study. The results of this study indicate that in the process of implementing the assimilation of the Fathers' clients, they have assimilated in accordance with ministerial regulations and laws. This can be clearly seen in the field, both in terms of the implementation of methods, values, roles and techniques used in carrying out various kinds of assimilation processes for correctional clients
