ANALISIS NILAI-NILAI PENDIDIKAN KARAKTER PADA BUKU-BUKU DONGENG TRADISIONAL JAWA UNTUK PESERTA DIDIK KELAS 1 SD

Character education is a government policy that is implemented through formal and informal education, where education is implemented through habituation in SDN Merjosari 1 schools and integrating the value of character education in learning using traditional Javanese fairy tale books as learning media in SDN Merjosari 1 schools. This study aims to find out : (1) Find the title of a traditional Javanese fairy tale book that can contain character values (2) find the character education values contained in traditional Javanese fairy tales (3) describe the results of student studies related to the values contained in traditional Javanese fairy tale books. This study uses qualitative methods, the type of research used is analysis and classroom action. As the data sources, the students of grade 1 SD and homeroom teachers of SDN Merjosari 1 were selected to match the study of 33 students with teachers, in the 2021/2022 school year. This research was conducted in the academic year 2021/2022 even/odd semesters through 3 processes, namely, the stage of selecting books for reading traditional Javanese fairy tales, the second process of analyzing and selecting fairy tale books to be implemented for students, the third stage, interviews with students and homeroom teachers to match responses from two sources. The results showed (1) the use of traditional Javanese fairy tale books at SDN Merjosari 1 as a medium for character education was successfully carried out by analyzing the value of character education and classifying traditional Javanese fairy tale books at SDN Merjosari 1. This effort was carried out to find traditional Javanese fairy tale books available at SDN Merjosari 1 (2) finds the character values contained in traditional Javanese fairy tales. The character education contained is, not evil or evil, not oppressive, not stealing, intelligent, brave, determined, optimistic, friendly, honest (3) describing the results of student studies related to the values of character education in traditional Javanese fairy tales. Students are able to describe the results of their studies based on their abilities through the interview process
