EVALUASI PROGRAM PENGEMBANGAN HALAL TOURISM KOTA MALANG (Studi pada Dinas Kepemudaan, Olahraga dan Pariwisata Kota Malang)

Halal tourism is tourism whose activities are based on the provisions of Islamic principles such as amenities, tourist attraction and accessibility by providing services and facilities that are comfortable, clean, and safe according to the needs of tourists, both Muslim and non-Muslim tourists. The halal tourism development program was formed as an effort to encourage the role of Muslim-friendly tourism development, so that it is expected to be able to provide experiences and needs for Muslim tourists. The purpose of this research is to find out to evaluate the halal tourism development program in Malang City. This study uses descriptive qualitative research methods, with primary data collection techniques obtained through direct observation, interviews, and documentation. Secondary data comes from literature review from previous research, information either through the internet or data obtained in the environment related to this research. The results of the study indicate that: The implementation of halal certification in hotels and restaurants has not been effective and efficient; Halal certification is not evenly distributed; Halal certification targets have not been met properly; The Halal Tourism Development Program has not sufficiently met the indicators in the IMTI (Indonesia Muslim Travel Index) model approach, namely the ACES attribute (Access, Communication, Environment, Service); The level of satisfaction with the responsiveness and role of stakeholders is still low; The goal of the halal tourism development program has not yet been achieved
