KEANEKARAGAMAN MAKROFAUNA TANAH DI PERKEBUNAN KURMA SUKOREJO, KABUPATEN PASURUAN SEBAGAI SUMBER BELAJAR BIOLOGI

Soil biodiversity have an important role in maintaining the integrity and function of an ecosystem. One of the fauna that make up the ecosystem is the diversity of macrofauna. Macrofauna are animals that live above and below the soil surface with body sizes ranging from 2-20 mm and act as bioindicators of soil quality and their presence is very important in the food chain. This study aims to analyze the relationship between soil macrofauna diversity and soil fertility in Sukorejo date palm plantations. Research time for 3 months includes data collection and identification of macrofauna. The type of research used is descriptive quantitative. The research method is direct observation and data collection at the location and then identified and calculated. This study consisted of 5 stations and 25 plots. The data analysis technique used Principal Component Analysis (PCA) test. The results showed that there was a strong relationship between soil macrofauna diversity and soil fertility in Sukorejo date palm plantations
