Faunistical results of the Coleoptera investigations carried out in the frames of the ecological survey of the surface waters of Hungary (ECOSURV) in 2005

In 2005 aquatic beetles were collected at 288 sites in Hungary. 118 aquatic coleopteran species belonging 10 families (9 Haliplidae, 53 Dytiscidae, 2 Noteridae, 4 Gyrinidae, 1 Spercheidae, 2 Hydrochidae, 9 Helophoridae, 25 Hydrophilidae, 9 Elmidae, 4 Dryopidae). New data for the following rare species are important faunistical results: Agabus congener, Agabus neglectus, Agabus paludosus, Colymbetes striatus, Enochrus hamifer, Gyrinus suffriani, Haliplus maculatus, Helochares lividus, Laccornis kocae and Macronychus quadrituberculatus
