Melampo & co.: el cómic infantil y el estereotipo jerárquico de la relación hombre–animal

Each children's comic is a means of escape and at the same time profoundly formative, because its message (explicit and implicit) is capable of generating interpretations from reality. An example is the eternal challenge between good and evil, which directs children to distinguish the right actions from the wrong ones: the comic is, in the end, a sort of 'guide to the values underlying social relations'. This article tries to briefly define the representation of the animal world, through the analysis of some first mid 20th century classics comics; as the persisting idea that human beings are carriers of a "higher" consciousness and of feelings that would also distinguish them from the other living species. The presumed inferiority of the "less sensitives and sentients" has allowed and allows a license, in turn, for the exploitation of the animal species. How does this hierarchy often represented with some children letterature, from a a recent past, strengthen a model attributable to the category of 'speciesism'?Cada cómic infantil es un medio de evasión y al mismo tiempo profundamente formativo, porque su mensaje (explícito e implícito) es capaz de generar interpretaciones de la realidad. Un ejemplo es el eterno desafío entre el bien y el mal, que dirige a la infancia a distinguir las acciones correctas de las incorrectas. En el contexto de este papel del cómic en la constitución de una especie de 'guía de los valores subyacentes a las relaciones sociales', este aporte busca definir brevemente, a través del análisis de algunos clásicos del cómic de la primera mitad del siglo XX, qué la representación del mundo animal. ¿Es la idea (muere difícilmente) de que los seres humanos son portadores de una conciencia y sentimientos "superiores" que los distinguirían también de los animales en los cómics? ¿Se refuerza en ellos esa presunta 'inferioridad' sentimental que permitió (y permite) justificar, a su vez, la explotación del cuerpo animal? ¿Cómo se expresa esta jerarquía en los cómics para fortalecer (o, aunque más esporádicamente, contrastar) un modelo atribuible a la categoría de 'especismo'
