Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a global public health problem. DM is associated with the rising burden of diabetic complications. Diabetic nephropathy (DN) is one of the life-threatening and irreversible microvascular complications of DM. A cross-sectional study was conducted from November 2017 to April 2018. This study aimed to characterize the proportion of DN among people living with diabetes (n=290, where 40 T1DM, 200 T2DM as cases group and 50 nondiabetic as a control group) and the factors associated with it.
