This poster outlines the cultural differences between Arabic and American cultures based on Hofstede’s Cultural Dimensions. The poster examines four of the dimensions of Hofstede’s research – Individualism vs. Collectivism, Masculinity vs. Femininity, Uncertainty Avoidance and Power Distance (The Hofstede Center) . Each country in the world scores differently on each of these scales, resulting in a unique combination that defines that nation’s culture. For instance, America is the most individualistic country, and self-sufficiency is among its values. Morocco, on the other hand is more collectivistic and values togetherness.
