The present research paper shows the use of a flash evaporator coupled with the solar desalination system to improve the distillate output. Here solar desalination system consists of a solar water heater coupled with evacuated tubes, a flash evaporator and a condenser. Also, two sets of experiments have been utilised for the use of a flash chamber with a solar desalination system and a solar still with a solar desalination system. Experimental set-up has been fabricated at Government Polytechnic Ahmedabad, Gujarat and tested for seven days 1st May to 7th May 2019.
