These Facilitators’ notes were developed by the Coalition of Black Trade Unionists in Toronto to guide workshops around the following themes: 1. The impact of environmental racism exposes the destructive suppression of Racialized and Indigenous dreams and aspirations for economy equality. 2. At the same time, Climate Change can serve as a social catalyst through the creation of new economic opportunities for Canada’s Racialized and Indigenous communities. It presents us with an opportunity to change. 3. If Canada’s Racialized and Indigenous communities are not engaged in the struggle, the transition to a green economy will not be just.
