Apprenticeship Training in the 1970s: The United States Experience

Apprenticeship in the United States is a system of training that is found almost exclusively in the private sector, and is prominent in only a relatively few industries and occupations. In those crafts and industries, however, especially in unionized construction, apprenticeship is a strong, well established efficient system whose importance is growing over time.
