The effect of physiotherapy on balance, coordination and functional abilities of children with autism spectrum disorders. The aim of this topic is to sum up the effect of physiotherapy on children with an autism spectrum disorder (ASD) for their balance, coordination and functional abilities. In order to achieve this work a six week clinical trial has been conducted at a specialized kindergarten. Eleven children (aged between 4 and 8 years) diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders were selected. First of all, each patient has been screened for his/her development delays by specially trained team to determine and evaluate their autism-specific behavioral. From the follow-up data, a program has been developed to improve the functional capabilities, coordination, and balance of the ASD subjects and assess the significance of this program on the age of the patient. Methods: Berg balance test; no balance required coordination sample; Modified Keittel Index; Eurofit tests. The analysis of the results has showed that physiotherapy practices have had a positive effect: the Berg test on the children's equilibrium scale results increased by 7, which does not require equilibrium co-ordination samples results increased by 9,6, modified The Keittel Index Test results increased by 8,5. Eurofit test showed that the time of runing has decreased by 9 seconds, and second test of Eurofit showed an increase range of long jump from standing position by 13 centimeters.
