Comparative analysis of competition activity within two weight categories in the European and the Lithuanian youth judo championship

Object of the Survey: the competition activity of sportsmen in the European Youth Championship of 2016 (up to 21) and the Lithuanian Youth Judo Championship of 2017 (up to 21) within weight categories up to 73 kg and up to 90 kg. Aim of the Survey: to define and compare the variety and differences of technical actions during competitions within weight categories up to 73 kg and up to 90 kg during the European Youth Championship and the Lithuanian Youth Judo Championship. Methods of the Survey: literature analysis, pedagogical observation (video recordings), comparative analysis. Conclusions: 1. The results of the study revealed that the diversity of equipment at a standstill is wider than the athletes who took part in 2016 European Youth Judo Championship. During 2016 European Junior Championship, in the under 73kg category - 16, under 90kg category - 16 different effective techniques were used. During 2017 Lithuanian Junior Judo Championship, in the under 73 kg category - 11 and in the under 90 kg category - 10 different effective techniqes were used. 2. The effective techniques that were used most often during tge 2016 European and 2017 Lithuanian Junior Judo Championships in the under 73 kg category were seoi-nage, tai-otoshi and jokootoshi. In the under 90 kg category the most often used effective techniques were seoi-nage and uchimata. 3. After doing the research on the 2016 European and 2017 Lithuanian Junior Championships' under 73 kg and under 90 kg weight categories and their results at the parter, we can see that during 2016 European Junior Championship, the participants did more effective attacks in the parter. 2016 European Junior Championship in the under 73 kg category - 16, in the under 90 kg category - 8 effective attacks.
