Evaluation of work motivation of sports schools coaches (by using the example of Kaunas sports schools) The aim of the final thesis is to evaluate work motivation of sports schools coaches (by using the example of Kaunas sports schools ). Objectives: 1. Discuss work motivation and its importance for the organization and its employees. 2. Identify sports school coaches‘ external motivation factors and compare them by socio-demographic indicators. 3. Identify internal motivation factors of sports school coaches and compare them by socio-demographic indicators. Research methods: literature analysis, questionnaire and mathematical statistics. Conclusions: 1. Motivation can be defined as inner force with the help of which everyone seeks their goals. This is one of the human psychological states, which varies depending on a variety of changing circumstances. Motivation is the process of behavior, actions or certain promotion activities , striving to increase employees‘ interest, initiative and activity. Motivated employees, trying to make high-quality work with responsibility and willingly, help the organization achieve its set goal, and successfully survive in today's competitive and changeable process. 2. Internal motivation of the researched sports school coaches is higher than their external motivation. Internal motivation mean is higher for male participants and comply with a high level. It was found that the highest scoring averages of internal motivation have coaches in the age group of 26 – 45years, those who work up to 5 years, from 5 to 15 years or 36 years and more, as well as those having the lowest qualification category. It was observed that unmarried and divorced study participants seek the highest level of internal motivation. 3. External motivation of the researched sports school coahes is of lower level than their internal motivation. Mean of external motivation is higher for women, and corresponds to the above-average level. External motivation was the highest scoring average in the age group of 26 - 35 years and those participants of the research whose work experience is up to 5 years, or those who are in the age group of 36 and more years and have the highest qualification category
