Students recreational activity possibilities in higher education institution

Object of research: recreational activity possibilities in higher education institution. Purpose of research: to determine students possibilities to engage in recreational activity in higher education institution. Tasks: 1. To define concept of recreation and leisure; 2. To analyse impact of recreation for students; 3. To discuss students recreation in higher education institution; 4. To analyse students recreational activity possibilities in higher education institution. Most important results and conclusions: during the research among Klaipėdos and Lithuania sports universities students were found that LSU students had more possibilities to engage in recreational activities: they have more practical disciplines, also, these students value university’s sport base more favourable, have more information about using it for free or fee and know about recreational activities in which they can participate during non-lecture time . Moreover, LSU students are more interested in recreation, because they think that practical lectures should be compulsory also they feel stronger influence of university to participate in recreation during their leisure. Among KU students was noticed that they are not so interested in possibilities to engage in recreation in their university, don’t know if activities are for free or fee. Most of students don’t have opinion about university’s sport base or think that it doesn’t comply their needs, besides, these students are not informed enough. Respondents state that influence of university to participate in recreation during leisure time is partly or very poor
