The indexes of aerobic capacity and oxygen uptake (VO2) kinetics are major determinants of physical performance and tightly related to the health state. The most efficient way to improve these indexes is exercise training, however for optimal capacity, intensity and type of training are still not unravelled. Therefore we aimed to determine the effect of various exercise trainings on indexes of pulmonary gas exchange and electromyography during the distinct intensity treadmill loads. The results of our study have shown that longitudinal endurance training is more effective to improve aerobic capacity and VO2 kinetics than sprint training (endurance athletes vs. sprinters comparison).
