Behaviour, emotional expressiveness of 8-11 year old children with special needs

Subject matter: behaviour, emotional expressiveness of children with special needs. Research problem: Children with special needs in mainstream schools It is very important to assess behavioural and emotional expressiveness. Children with special needs, or disabilities imposed on other disorders and often experience emotional and behavioral difficulties. As a result, children become even less so, feel anxiety, fear, reduced self-esteem. Behavioral and emotional problems impeding their academic, cognitive, personal and social skills and the educational process and affects even more upset. Research objective: Determine the link between behaviour and emotional expressiveness of children with special needs Research goals: 1. Examine behaviour and emotional expressiveness of children with special needs. 2. Examine behaviour and emotional expressiveness of children with special needs from teachers point of view. 3. Examine behaviour and emotional expressiveness of children with special needs from parent’s point of view. Research hypothesis: Behaviour and emotional expressiveness of children with special needs in mainstream schools is impaired, compared with their non-disable peers. Conclusions: The study showed that the tested 8 -11 year old children with special needs, have a standard of behavior and emotional expression, characterized by their non-disable peers.. Personality adjustment problems scale showed the most 8-11 year olds confidence. The study hypothesis was not confirmed. Exploring 8-11 years boys had higher hyperactivity compared to the investigated girls and 8-9 years of age was noted better relationships with their parents than 10-11 years of age ( p < 0.05). Subjects, teachers and parents rated worse anxiety, depression, atypical, internalizing problems occurring over rated by the subjects. In addition, teachers of subjects evaluated the rate of school problems significantly worse than most 8 -11 years of age ( p < 0.05). The study revealed that subjects them to my children's teachers with internalizing problems and depression level of expression, while the parents of these problems did not notice them , and my kids meet the standard indicators of the level of the typical 8-11 year-olds ( p < 0.05)
