The analysis of the physical and technical preparation of lithuanian best pole-vaulters

One of the most beautiful and most complicated event in athletics is a pole vault. This event requires the athlete's special physical preparation. At present, a considerable amount of practical and theoretical information has been accumulated, thus making it possible to impartially judge the peculiarities and patterns in fiberglass pole-vaulting techniques. Opinions regarding various vaulting aspects can differ, however, physical and mechanical principles of the vault are irrefutable. Now the results of female pole-vaulters in Lithuania are of low level. Sportswomen, who jump 3,30 – 3,90 m in height compete for the first places at national track – and – field athletics championships. The aim of this work was to compare the best Lithuanian pole-vaulters level of physical and technical preparation. We study seven best pole-vaulters of Lithuania. 1. Determine the best Lithuanian pole-vaulters physical preparation and compare it with the high-skill pole-vaulters. 2. Determine the best Lithuanian pole-vaulters technique and compare it with the high-skill pole-vaulters. Our analysis showed that Lithuanians pole-vaulters technical preparation level is very low, than the word famous pole-vaulters.
