Problems related to the role of physical activity adaptations in disabled people using wheelchair independence skills are analysed in the article. The research is based on an hypothesis affirming that adapted physical activity practice for disabled wheelchair users can improve biosocial skills. The research sample included 108 people with spinal cord injury who were wheelchair users (12 female and 96 male) in the Landshaft therapy and recreation center in Monciskes. The age range was from 18 to 45 years, and the period after spinal cord injury was under five years. The research results revealed the hypothesis to be proven.
