The subject of the research: volunteering barriers The objective of the research: to diagnose barriers, for choosing volunteering as a form of leisure time activity. Goals of the research: 1. To analyze the concept of volunteering. 2. Analyze volunteering as a form of leisure. 3.Perform barriers choosing volunteering diagnosis. Conclusions: 1. The concept of volunteering is understood differently in World countries, and it depends on their social and cultural context. This is the way society is organized. It is an activity that requires a lot of energy and takes away a large part of individual time. This is more than a duty, this is activity that requires to use individual skills, and choose to do this without any pressure. As well, volunteers receive intangible benefits: knowledge and experience. One of the strongest contributors to volunteering is human resources. Volunteering brings a goal – seeking individuals. Amongst students, volunteering is a pathway to self – realization and social integration. 2. Volunteering is a form of leisure, because both of these activities rewards people with experience. Both activities produce positive results for the people‘s physical and mental vitality of purposeful behavior and social integration, and in particular, as well as leisure, so volunteering is chosen completely free will. Volunteering as a form of leisure is going officially, as the activities are organized by non – governmental organizations. Volunteering as a form of leisure is quite complex phenomenon, because volunteers, at the same time has to help others gain experience from operating activities, as well as a person grow personally. 3. According to the survey the main reasons which can be barriers for choosing volunteering as a form of leisure time activity are: lack of time because of commitments to other activities, work schedule and attending studies. The main barriers would be personal security, financial costs, which primarly consist of expenses for travel, food and accommodation, if volunteering lasts longer than one day. Also one of the main barrier for volunteers is lack of information, related to the choice of volunteering in order to be able to plan your time
