Aim of the Study: To evaluate the acute effect of Strength and Aerobic training on cognitive function in Parkinson‘s Disease patients. Objective of the Study: 1. To evaluate acute effect of strength training on cognitive function in PD patients. 2. To evaluate acute effect of aerobic training on cognitive function in PD patients. 3. To compare the results of acute strength and aerobic training on cognitive function in PD patients. The Hypothesis: Three acute training sessions will improve cognitive function in PD patients, whereas strength training will cause greater effect than aerobic training programme. Methods of the Research: Two participants completed 2 acute training sessions of 3 days of each strength and aerobic exercises, with 2 weeks of break in between the strength and aerobic training sessions. Cognitive function results from ANAM4 were compared in between acute strength and aerobic exercises. Results were examined of pre and post intervention of both exercises which determined the improvement in cognitive efficiency. Conclusions: 1. Acute strengthening exercises showed major improvement in all specific cognitive functions in PD patients. 2. Acute aerobic exercise showed mild improvement in some of the cognitive function in PD patients. 3. Strength training exercises showed increased cognitive efficiency as compare to aerobic training in PD patients
