The effect of physiotherapy to children with cerebral palsy functional state

Aim - evaluate Bobath, Peto and waist control method effects on childer with cerebral palsy functional state. Research tasks: 1. Investigate childred suffering from celebral paralysis functional state. 2. Identify Bobath, Peto and waist strengthening effectiveness as physical therapy methods for children with cerebral palsy. Research object - Bobath, Peto and waist control method on children with cerebral palsy, functional state. Research methods – the study was made in the Kaunas Pranas Daunio disabled children education center. The study was performed with 10 children with cerebral paralysis, but two of them haven’t finished the experiment, so only 8 of them finished the treatment. Patients were divided into two groups of four people. The first group was treated by Bobath methods and the second group with Peto and waist control method. To evaluate children functional state capacity before and after experiment the GMFM method was performed. For pain determination, the VAS pain scale was used. Statistical data analysis was performed using SPSS and EXCEL software packages. The statistical difference between groups were checked by doing t-test. Data were considered to be statistically significant if p was less than 0,05 (p<0,05). Conclusions: 1. The examination of children with cerebral palsy treatment with physical therapy functional state methods (Bobath, Peto and waist control) showed that childred state was better after experiment than before. 2.
