Physical therapy symptoms of depression effects on cognitive function and quality of life, functional status indicator change in elderly after hip replacement surgery

The object of the study: elderly people cognitive function, quality of life, functional status The goal: to assess the effect of physical therapy to older patients with hip joint arthroplasty, the State of cognitive function, the function and quality of life. Tasks: 1. To assess the patients ' quality of life change before and after physical therapy depending on the symptoms of depression. 2. Evaluate patients cognitive state change before and after physical therapy depending on the symptoms of depression. 3. Assess the patients ' functional status change before and after physical therapy depending on the symptoms of depression. The methodology of the study: the study was carried out in the PUBLIC hospital in Marijampolė. Subjects (n=12) were divided into two groups in accordance with the Geriatric Depression scale \"results. GDS from 5 to 10 points in Group I and the GDS score from 0-5 in Group II. 1.Quality of life assessment was made on the basis of a questionnaire SF 36. 2. Evaluation of cognitive function was used ”Trail Making Test”. 3 For Functional Status Assessment Were used, Goniometer, Manual muscle strength testing, pain assessment was used in the VAS scale, Mobility evaluation was used modified Keitel index. All measurements were performed on the first day of arrival, and after 18 days of rehabilitation. Conclusions: 1. The quality of life of both groups remained the same after physical therapy, differences between groups were observed. 2.
