Application of constraint-induced movement therapy for the patients after stroke rehabilitate

Hypothesis of this study – application of constraint-induced therapy for the patients after stroke on purpose to recover of impacted hand function and amplify self-service level, mobility and hands grip strenght is more effective method than application of common phsysical therapy program. Object of this study – application of constraint-induced therapy for the patients after stroke, to recover of impacted hand function and amplify self-service level, mobility and hands grip strenght . Purpose of this study – to evaluate the effetc of CIT for the patients after stroke to recover impacted hand movements and amplify self-service level, mobility and hands grip strenght. Goals of this study: 1. To evaluate impacted hand function, self-service level, mobility and hands grip strenght before and after application of common physical therapy program for the patients who had strokes. 2. To evaluate impacted hand function, self-service level, mobility and hands grip strenght before and after application of Constraint-Induced Therapy for the patients, who had strokes. 3. To compare the effect of common physical therapy program and CIT for recovery of impacted hand function and amplification of self-service level and mobility. Study methods - this study took place in neurologic department of Marijampole hospital in 2013. 20 patients who had stroke participated in this study: 10 women and 10 men. The patients were assigned accidentally in two groups. Investigatives of the study received CIT. Applying this therapy not impaired hand‘s movements are inhibited with a special glove. Patients had to wear this glove 5 hours a day except the sleeping time. Every hour they had breaks for 10-15 minutes. Wearing the glove patients had to accomplish various tasks with impacted hand. The patients of control group received common physical therapy program for 30-45 min. This study continued 14 days. Doing the programs the moevements of effected hand, hand muscle grip-strenght and self-service level and mobility. Conclutions of this study: 1. After application of common physical therapy program for the patients who had stroke, significant statistical important ameliorattion of impacted hands, complicated arm function, increase grip strenght of hand and self-service level, mobility (p<0,05). 2. After application of physical therapy and constraint induced therapy for the patients who had stroke, significant statistical important ameliorattion of impacted hands, complicated arm function, increase grip strenght of hand and self-service level, mobility (p
