The aim of this study was to investigate the aerobic capacity from different ages of young orienteers in long term training. The study embraced 34 orienteers. According to age (years) and gender (male, M; females, F), six groups of athletes were singled out: F12 — 14 (12—14 years famales) (n = 4), F15 — 17 (15 — 17 years famales) (n = 6), F18 — 20 (18 — 20 years famales) (n = 7), M12—14 (12 — 14 years mens) (n = 8), M15 — 17 (15 — 17 years mens) (n = 6), M18 — 20 (18 — 20 years mens) (n = 3). Althletes do the continuous consistently increased load test (CIL) who was carried out in cycle ergometer ERGO — FIT 177. Subjects were worked on cycle ergometer until complete fatigue.
