The rural tourism homestead performance evaluation sustainable development perspective

Lithuania and throughout Europe as rural tourism have certain stages of development, some countries it appeared previously in other later. Recently, the twentieth anniversary of Lithuanian change fundamentally changed the concept of tourism services. Gradually increasing local and international tourist flows, changing the structure of the service, their next quality. The increase of urban cities, their populations are increasingly misses nature and recreation in Lithuanian villages. Creating rural tourism offers opportunities for tourism development in rural areas by promoting social welfare, preserving the traditions and customs as well as nurturing a unique landscape of Lithuania. The village is a complex territorial, social and economic system, which is rich in resources and measures for rural vitality. Lithuanian rural resources, rural homesteads renewal, rural and urban exclusion in rural social life and economic activity growth - is a factor that stimulates the development of rural tourism business. Rural tourism development and leads to increasing use of natural resources and intensive changes in the environment, so this activity must be given constant attention to sustainable development considerations. Key sustainable development provisions specifically formulated at the World Summit in Rio de Janeiro in 1992. Sustainable development was endorsed as a fundamental long-term development of society ideology. Sustainable development concept is based on the equivalent of three dimensions: economic, socio - cultural and environmental, but they do not provide full development of coherence, it is necessary therefore another important dimension - institutional or political. However, today raised the same issues: how to ensure the social welfare of the rural population, addressing not only economic growth but also poverty, reducing unemployment, creating new jobs and preserving natural resources in natural, rural landscape for future generations. About sustainable development and its elements of importance and relevance in today's society can be addressed and by authorized and regularly updated international documents: Agenda 21 (2001), renewed European Union Sustainable Development Strategy (2006); national documents: National Strategy for Sustainable Development (2011), Lithuania Progress Strategy \"Lithuania 2030\" (2012) (Štareikė 2013).
