Educational focus is mostly on the teaching and learning activities; the school space and classrooms in which these activities take place are rarely considered. This chapter brings together research and discussions around how the use of the school building, school design, and a focus on specialism has an impact on children’s learning. These all play a vital role in the way children approach their learning. We will dive into how the space in which children learn represents what they are learning. How a creative, authentic learning environment and specialist staff impact positively on the children’s behaviour, attitudes, and achievement
