This report presents the results from Phase 6 of an independent environmental monitoring programme that was set up to investigate and monitor the environmental impacts of shale-gas exploration in England. The report is restricted to monitoring activities around the Preston New Road site in Lancashire and to monitoring of greenhouse-gas composition and water quality. This is due to the cessation of shale-gas exploration activities at the site following the imposition by the UK Government of the moratorium on high-volume hydraulic fracturing in England in November 2019. The report should be read in conjunction with previous reports on environmental monitoring in Lancashire and North Yorkshire that are available through the BGS project website...
