Several studies have indicated that urban green spaces are a significant component in improving well-being. And it has long been believed that urban green spaces can improve mental health. For studying green space, most traditional methods use questionnaires or interviews, which are labour-intensive and time-consuming. This research paper proposes an improved approach to understanding the emotions when people use green spaces through social media data. Text content posted by people when visiting green spaces was captured via Instagram, and this was used as the sentiment analysis dataset.
