The kerygmatic message of George Fox may be described as a theology of encounter. Not only did it call for a transforming encounter with God through the pneumatic power and presence of the resurrected Lord, but Fox\u27s spiritual insights were gained largely by means of such encounters which he called openings. The focus of this paper is to explore the connection between salient aspects of Fox\u27s kerygmatic message and their epistemological origins within his spiritual experience; in other words, to assess the relation between content and experience in George Fox\u27s theology of encounter
