Presents a manual (appended) that is designed as a component in the treatment of patients with postconcussion syndrome. The manual incorporates interventions reported in the literature to be effective and is based on a cognitive-behavioral conceptualization of the etiology and treatment of postconcussion syndrome. Information about the effects of head injury is derived from epidemiological studies. More general information about the effects of head injury is from a standard reference source, and material from treatment outcome studies is also included. Sections intended to support cognitive reattribution of the syndromes and cognitive behavioral treatment for depression and anxiety are based on published empirical work
