Research for Teaching and Learning

Research is an important part of the careers of most academics. This article provides an introduction to the scholarship of teaching and learning (SOTL) and suggests that opportunities exist in this research area for faculty to begin or extend their publishing efforts. SOTL research is rapidly becoming more accepted as evidenced by the number of journals catering to research on teaching and learning.
