Copepods, the most abundant multicellular organisms on earth, play a significant role in oceanic production. However, their production rates, as a function of both their food and hydrodynamic environments, are not yet understood. Specifically: What are the effects of turbulence on A. tonsa behavior? A review of the methods used in laboratory research illustrates why the effects of turbulence on A. tons a behavior are still under scrutiny. In order to better understand how turbulence affects copepod feeding and egg production rates, appropriate steps need to be taken; mainly, all studies should be derived from common ground. If future research employs common methods and techniques? Analysis of its results should dramatically further our kn...
