Using the iPad in the classroom is an effective way to engage students in quality online learning experiences. This presentation will provide faculty with an introduction to current mobile learning research and scholarship and how the iPad can be utilized for pedagogical purposes to promote online learning. This presentation will describe mobile learning characteristics, such as personalized and timely learning, that are conducive to teaching and are related to experiential learning theories.
